To effectively communicate, we must realize that we are all different in the way we perceive the world and use this understanding as a guide to our communication with others. ~ Tony Robbins

We recently surveyed those who subscribe to my Weekly Mentoring Letter. What, we asked, is your biggest marital challenge?

Since I think it’s always helpful to know that we are not alone in our struggles, l want to share with you what came out as the Number One challenge…

Communication.

That’s right: the connection, or disconnection (mostly verbal), between a husband and wife, between a man and a woman.

There is potential disconnect at a million points, of course–and I have lots of insights and strategies about how to bridge those disconnects–but here’s a video I made for you at my kitchen table, highlighting some of the most simple but powerful Wife for Life tactics that will help your husband want to communicate more meaningfully with you.

Use them right away, and you can begin to have more rewarding, effective conversations with your husband!

Improving communication with your husbandWATCH

Let me know what you think in the comments below the video. I’m excited to hear about, and address, your exact concerns. I’m also excited to teach you more communication skills in future videos (for instance, how to help him listen to you with patience and respect!).

Take advantage of every opportunity to practice your communication skills so that when important occasions arise, you will have the gift, the style, the sharpness, the clarity, and the emotions to affect other people. ~ Jim Rohn
